Indikation

This device, meant to be used with an oral endotracheal tube, is indicated for patients in difficult intubation situations, in particular patients with a Mallampati/Cormack score higher than 2, in the context of medical emergencies, traumatology or general anesthesia.

Easier endotracheal intubation. Single-use oro-tracheal flexible guide for difficult endotracheal intubation in patients with a Cormack score greater than 2.
Endotracheal tube introducer, which allows oxygen delivery with its double lumen and oxygen connector.
In case of laryngospasm, during oxygen delivery, oxygen can escape through the side holes preventing lung damage (e.g. volutrauma/barotrauma)

Beskrivning

Oro-tracheal flexible guide for difficult endotracheal intubation (Cormack superior to 2) with double lumen for oxygen injection and oxygen connector.

Bougie Boussignac features 2 lumens:

The first lumen (transparent) is closed at the proximal end and open at the distal end.
The second lumen (green, blue or pink) is open at the proximal end and closed at the distal end. An opening of the coloured lumen before the proximal end allows passage of the oxygen.

In case of spasm, decompression openings will avoid any risk of barotrauma by allowing oxygen to escape.

Bougie Boussignac is available in 3 sizes:

Adult (for E.T. tubes size 6 to 11mm internal diameter): code 5576.01
Paediatric (for E.T. tubes size 4 / 4.5 / 5 / 5.5mm internal diameter): code 5576.02
Neonatal (for E.T. tubes size 2.5 / 3 / 3.5mm internal diameter): code 5576.03
